Ipamorelin 2000mcg Peptide for In Vitro Research
Ipamorelin is a potent synthetic hexapeptide widely recognized for its ability to stimulate growth hormone release in animal studies.¹² By acting on the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R), ipamorelin promotes growth hormone release from anterior pituitary cells, contributing to body weight gain and growth in laboratory models. Research highlights its pharmacological effects comparable to ghrelin, though its unique structure distinguishes it as a key compound in peptide and growth hormone research.³
In animal studies, ipamorelin has shown efficacy in supporting bone growth and improving bone structure. An 8-week study comparing ipamorelin, growth hormone, and other peptides demonstrated that ipamorelin significantly increased bone mineral content. Its bone-stimulating effects were superior to other peptides, though slightly less effective than direct growth hormone.³
A unique advantage of ipamorelin in research is its high target specificity. Unlike other growth hormone secretagogues, ipamorelin does not elevate adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) or cortisol levels in animals.¹ Furthermore, it does not affect levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin, or thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), making it a selective and reliable option for targeted in vitro research.
Ipamorelin has also been studied for its potential role in diabetes research. Findings indicate that it increases insulin-like growth factor (IGF-I) and enhances insulin release in both diabetic and non-diabetic animal models. These results suggest ipamorelin may provide valuable insights into insulin regulation and diabetes-related peptide mechanisms.⁴
